Artist Statement
This project was for our 2020 Guild Challenge to use 20 of something in your quilted item. I was inspired by the 20 different hand made buttons brought back as a gift for me by my daughter Shelley when she visited the Seychelles.
The buttons are made from coconut shells, and each one is unique. I also used 20 different batik fabrics to complete this bag. I saw a bag made using the jellyroll rug technique at a quilt retreat and decided to design my own bag.
