Artist Statement
Brandon came into our lives in January 2017. The first version of this quilt was made as a fundraiser for Aids Lifecycle. Upon the draw for the original version, Brandon was completely sickened that he didn’t win the first prize quilt.
As a result, I made a second quilt for the man that has become a big part of our lives. You are a great friend, loyal brother and exceptional son. I couldn’t be happier to make this quilt especially for you!
The quilt uses the “Big Star” pattern by Missouri Star Quilt Company and I used Kaffe Fassett prints with coordinating Kona solids to create the pride effect that Brandon loved from the original quilt.
