Artist Statement
This quilt was made for our daughter Shelley & her husband Saadiq on the occasion of their marriage.
The colors represent the sea and the sky and the stars aligning for them to meet and fall in love.
I adapted the original pattern with an additional paper pieced border and prairie point sashing.
